OUR LEARNING CONCEPT The concept and method of SG MEVIS have been specially developed for adults, so we offer a comprehensive program with which adults can acquire swimming skills of all levels . According to our concept, as you learn each new swimming style, new muscle groups are used and a new type of breathing is learned. As a result, all the muscles in the body can do maximum work and overall body tone is increased through correct breathing and balanced loads. Other goals include: the development or promotion of the joy of water and swimming among the course participants Physical and psychological well-being through intensive movement in the water Develop basic motor skills such as endurance, speed and coordination skills. In our lessons , we use special formulas when learning a new swimming style . These are short texts developed by us , which the course participant speaks to himself when performing the swimming movements . With the help of these formulas, the sequence of movements and - especially important - the correct timing of the breathing cycle is practiced . Additionally , focusing on the formulas usually prevents uncertainty or fear from arisingin the water. In this way, the central nervous system of the swimming learner is attuned to the correct work of the body in the water according to the swimming style. The first formulas are “application-oriented”, the others are “derived”, the rest are “professional”. You only take up the next formula for each style if the course participant has internalized the current formula and successfully passed the respective control test. Depending on the swimming style, there are between three and eight formulas that the learners learn one after the other. In the end, you will have mastered all swimming styles at a professional level. Our learning concept, which leads to fear-free swimming, includes the following levels of experience Beginner In the basic course, course participants are taught the basics of breaststroke swimming. The course consists of 10 teaching units. First of all, the prospective swimmer is relieved of fear of the water in basic exercises . The aim of the first exercises is to dip the head. In a further step, the legs are drawn in and stretched out so that the body lies briefly on the water (floating); afterwards the return to the upright position. In this way the swimmer learns immediately that the body lies on the water surface even without movement due to buoyancy. As a result, the swimming learner gains initial security in the water and his nervous system will no longer react with defense to the unfamiliar situation. Other simple exercises teach basic elements of swimming technique, for example movements of arms and legs and basic breathing techniques. The joining and coordination of such individual elements takes place as an increase in several steps. At the end of the course there is the correct execution of the breaststroke technique on a swimming distance of 25 meters without stops. Level 1 - 5 - Swimming courses for people with swimming skills who want to improve their technique First: Consolidation of the breaststroke technique, swimming longer stretches in deep water (depth up to 3 meters) - up to 300 m. Additionally: Learning the basics of crawl and butterfly swimming, later also backstroke swimming. These are further perfected. In the higher levels, aids - hand boards, pull buoy, swim fins - are also used to e.g. B. to train an additional arm or leg load or to train the feeling of speed in the water. Level 6 - 12 - Sports training and triathlon preparation In the higher advanced levels, the focus is on perfecting the crawl, butterfly, chest and backstroke in order to train freestyle swimming from distances of 400 m to 800 m. In addition, the professional freestyle formula for the crawl style is learned, which enables bilateral breathing. The swimmer learns the two most important forms of turning (roll turn and tilt turn). The swimming exercises include aids (pull buoy, hand paddling, fins and swimming board). The average training distance is between 1100 m (level 7) and gradually increases to 1800 m (level 12). As an adult, learn to swim safely and without fear!
