About company
Car restoration Thailand "Car Kolor" started as a vehicle restoration business in 2010 in Sattahip 30 minutes from Pattaya, Thailand. We have filled a major void in the market as many foreigners based in Thailand have a genuine interest in Classic cars Particularly British and American. Surprisingly there are many such cars here.Increasingly we are very pleased to be also adding more Thai enthusiasts to our list of customers.
One of the major problems with restoring these classics is that parts are very hard to find and most of these cars have, in the past, suffered both poor workmanship and the fitting of incorrect parts.Kevin O’Connor who runs the business has had 30 yrs experience in and around classic vehicles and major body repairs and restoration. His long term experience being with British cars.
Restoring old cars is impossible without a genuine love for the car as it is always a bigger job than the budget allows. We often cannot source parts and simply set about making them ourselves, this is always the case with panels.Thais have a knack for copying and they will spend days restoring and make something old look and work like new.The panel beaters at Car Kolor are second to none, the genuine skill long forgotten in Europe is apparent at a glance. Cars that would have been scrapped in America or Europe can be re-built to a very high standard by combining the skills of the Thai workforce with modern techniques and tools. We also use traditional machinery i.e. English wheel, equipment and tools, etc
