Tianjin Children's Hospital (Tianjin University Children's Hospital) is the only tertiary grade A comprehensive pediatric hospital in Tianjin, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, rehabilitation, and health management. It is the Clinical School of Pediatrics of Tianjin Medical University and Nankai University School of Medicine. The hospital includes 1721 beds in two campuses, Machang and Longyan, sharing personnel, technology, and equipment, operating in an integrated manner, and serving the entire North China region. The racecourse area covers an area of 55,000 square meters, with 521 open beds. The Longyan courtyard area covers an area of 83,000 square meters and has 1,200 open beds.
The hospital has a strong technical force, with more than 200 senior professional and technical personnel. It has a team of high-level talents such as special post experts from the State Council, Tianjin awarded experts, doctoral and master tutors, and "131" talents. In 2014, the hospital was approved as the first batch of standardized training bases for residents of the National Health Commission.
